Just saw your webpage and thought I'd sign the guestbook. I'm expecting my third child in September. My youngest child is 4 and we weren't planning this third child. I just am seeing what's on the web and trying to get more information on pregnancy and childbirth again. Seems longer than four years ago, well almost 5 since I had my last baby. Just wanted to say Hi from St. John's, Newfoundland Canada. It is great to be in touch with others around the world, and what a better topic in common than Pregnancy. It happens everywhere! I lived in Oslo, Norway for four years from 1974-1978 while my father was posted to the NATO HQ with the Canadian Army. It was a wonderful experience. I love both the country and the people. On Febuary 26th I found out I was pregnant with my first child,and I am scared,I don't know why but I am. This is just a suggestion but if you could find pictures of what the fetus looks like in the three trimesters of pregnancy it would improve the amount of information on your page. Hello- This is my first pregnancy and I am 5 months along and I have been trying to find out some info on pregnancy. Like what I will be experiencing this month and so forth. I am very excited to be pregnant and can't wait until the baby arrives. My due date is August 13, 1998. We still don't know the gender and I would love to know if its a girl or boy, doesn't matter the sex, I just gotta know!!! Hello! My name is April, and this is my first baby. I had terrible morning sickness. I was in the hospital of seven weeks. I didn't start getting sick until the six week. In my sixth week I started bleeding very heavy, I went to the hospital they thought I was miscaring. I wasn't come to find out, but they still do not know why I was bleeding so bad. Ever since then I was sick, up until the sixtenth week. I'm finally feeling better. I wish I knew if me bleeding like that had something to do with me being so sick. My family history is Finnish and Norwegian. Maybe that has something to do with it. Things now are good, and baby is due August 8, 1998.

Your maternity leave sounds wonderful. In Boise, Idaho most companies don't even offer maternity leave. With my son I saved my two weeks vacation time and one week sick leave. The rest was without pay. Most mothers around here are lucky to be able to take eight weeks off total. You really are lucky to have such a great system.

Hi Katherine, I thanked the Lord for your article about the pelvic and back pain. I am in tears as i'm typing this letter. I am really suffering write now not to mention fatiqued. Hi Kathrine. I am a 23 Year old mother of two boys, 6 and 2 and am expecting my first daughter on my 24th birthday in August. This pregnancy has been so different than my last two, I am constinatly tired and have adominal pains whenever I walk for more than 15 minutes. I can't wait until the baby comes so I can make it through the day without faling asleep!!!!! I was very impressed with the support you seem to recieve there in Noraway as a parent. My husband and I decided after our first child was born than no matter what I should stay home with the children, So many children are raised in day-care centers here in america and it saddens me. We barely scrape by paying our bills on $15,000 U.S. Dollars a year but we manage by being money consoius and realizing our wants from our needs. I know that being there for our children is the most important job I have and even though a this pregnancy was unplanned we feel blessed and we know somehow we will make it through. We have always viewed our babies as a gift not a burden. Alot of people think we are crazy for having so many children on such a fixed income, we are considered below poverty, but we view ouselves as rich and that is how we are raising our angels. I hope someday other people will realize that material posesssions are not so important and that the children of the worlds future need a constant parent, never to busy with work or other things. Maybe our government will some day give us stay at home parents the support we need.Sorry I guess I've ramble don to long. Hug and kiss your two beautiful kids eachday.
